It seems like everyone is just beginning to recover from last year’s hurricane season, and 2018 hurricane season is already here! According to NOAA this year’s hurricane season is shaping up to be very active and could pose great threat to the Panhandle.
Knowing that lightweight fences, like wood or vinyl, are more susceptible to wind damage from hurricanes, B&T Fencing professionals would like to provide you with some tips.
How to protect your fence before our first hurricane hits:
- Make sure your fence doesn’t need repairs and is reinforced to keep it secure. If you’re not sure, give us a call and we’ll come out and double-check it.
- Take other loose items out of your yard so they don’t blow into your fence (or house 😉)
- Watch for low hanging branches near your fence that could potentially fall and cause extreme fence damage.
We know it’s impossible to control Mother Nature, but the good new is, B&T Fencing is here to help you with all the necessary repairs pre and post-hurricane season to make your fence sturdy and strong!
